about me
ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I am passionate about discovering the intricacies of the world that may go unnoticed by the casual eye. I enjoy taking photographs which “tell” a story. In fact, that is what I strive for in my photography. If my photographs make me step back and look at it more closely, then I have completed my goal. However, my stories are not limited by a particular style, theme, or niche.
For me, photography is a gateway which allows me to explore various themes within the world. These themes can range from littering to family relationships. I photograph everything from people to rusty spokes. This diversity allows me to work without having a particular niche. This also allows flexibility in style.
My inspiration comes from life itself. The laughter of children, a superbly colorful sunset, a misplaced object, or a simple walk in the woods may evoke the inspiration needed. I am stimulated by light, shadows, and movement. I try to communicate, through the camera, what my mind sees. My mind is the only limit.
